Bigger than ever

I seem to be on a roll with my journals, they just keep getting bigger. This one has so many pages I had to create two signatures. The cover had to have a separate spine which I've added beads to for decoration.

Below are some of the pages, there are still lots more but I couldn't fit all the photos in one post. This will be for sale on my Etsy.

Over the weekend I attended a fabulous felting workshop run by Elizabeth Armstrong. Elizabeth is such a wonderful teacher and is so generous. Her work is stunning. Walking into her studio is like stepping into Aladdin's cave, there is fabulous colour everywhere and so much to see. Elizabeth teaches from home and is also teaching at Creative Soul Retreat in March. If you've ever wanted to learn how to make felt, Elizabeth's the lady to see.

Above is a piece of felt I made on Sunday after the workshop. I hope to make pieces like this that I can cut up and use in my jewellery.

Below is the silk and felted scarf I made in class.

Your latest journal is fantastic and the felt pieces are stunning. I love your poppy seedhead stamps and the onion dome designs and, as ever, your colour schemes are just glorious.

What a wonderful and spectacular journal - you make me feel I want to spend all my time making art and stop writing (and it takes something to make me say that!)

I will now drool again over each page, and thank you again for sharing your amazing work. Ann from UK

Ro - your latest journal is stunning! So pleased you had such a good time at Elizabeth's on Saturday. Funny you used the expression Aladdin's Cave as that is exactly what Jacky and I thought! Your scarf is gorgeous and the piece of felt you made on Sunday is bold and vibrant (I love Orange).
Look forward to seeing you next Wednesday at the knitting group.

How can you possibly part with this masterpiece of a journal? Holy moly. You are just amazing. I would very much like to learn felting as well. It's incredible how I would know any piece made by you no matter waht medium. you are the color queen.

The only thing missing from your scarf is you. How about modeling next time.
