Out of action

I have to apologize to the students who attended my necklace workshop last week. It's taken until now for me to show their wonderful work on my blog.
I had a bit of a health scare last Tuesday and ended up in hospital. All seems to be well now, just waiting for some test results. I can't believe in such a sunny country as ours that I could end up deficient in vitamin D. I suppose that's what I get from working in an office all day.

Here's the fabulous work.

I hope to have another post in the next few days, now I have some free time.

Doctors say that most of us are deficient in vitamin D... I hope you recover quickly. The necklaces are really fabulous, which says a lot about the teacher :-)

Get better soon, must have been so scary... Vit D deficiency runs rampant here, too, but I am in the Pacific Northwest of the USA where we can have WEEKS of no sunshine in winter. I'd never have imagined such a thing in Australia. Take care!

Your student's work is WONDERFUL, they should be very proud of themselves for such lovely creations!

Hope you will soon be feeling well again - a course of vitamins will put you right. Lovely work by your students - each piece is individual. Don't work too hard and take care of yourself.

Ro I hope you are feeling much better...shame its so overcast, we need you to sit out and enjoy some sunshine and get well!!!!

The jewellery the girls made in your last class is beautiful...each piece that bit different than the last, everyone having their own individual style.

Take care Ro, sending you a warm, healing hug.

Hi Ro. So sorry to hear you have been unwell and had to be in hospital. My doc told me that research has shown that we have taken Slip! Slop! Slap! too far and that Vitamin D deficiency is now a common occurrence. I hope your test results are all clear Ro. Move your table out on to that back deck and create art work out there. Put your feet up and enjoy a glass of vino while the paint dries.
PS the necklaces are beautiful.

These necklaces are so gorgeous! I really love the style of necklace that you used at that workshop. It makes a beautiful base idea, but has so much room for the students own artistic identities to show through. Great work!

Gosh Ro, sorry to hear that you had a health scare, lets hope that you feel better soon.
There has been a lot of talk over here about vitamin D deficiency. I guess that it is due to it being hammered into us that we must slather ourselves into a slippery mass of sunscreen before we venture outdoors.
Love the slideshow of the pendants, they are all beautiful pieces.

Sorry you are not well Ro. It appears we have adopted "slip, slop, slap" so conscientiously, we have overdone it! Re the class- I had a great time and I have worn my necklace several times now and had some very pleasing compliments.

If you or any of the girls from our class are interested,on my much neglected blog I have posted a pic of what I did with the fried marbles.
