Blog Hopping

You probably all know by now how I admire Susan Lennart Kazmer's work and how I can't wait to attend her classes when she comes here in March. Well, Jen from her design team at Objects and Elements is organizing a blog hop showing how people are using Ice Resin in their work. If you want to see what others are doing just visit the links below.

My piece is a silver spoon that has orange sari silk in the base with a tiny globe inside an oxidized copper frame. The whole thing has been filled with the Ice Resin and I dropped in small pieces of silver solder around the edges before the resin dried. I added wire and beads and attached it to one of my hand wired and soldered chains. I may still add a couple of other things to the chain.

Having technical difficulties this a.m., so hope I'm not repetitive here. Love the darkened silver on the spoon charms!

What a stunning piece Ro! The clarity of the resin must be wonderful as I can see the fibres from the sari silk with ease in the pics. I love the little bulb and spoon and the highlighting that the solder has given to the design. You are such a clever girl I love your designs! Looks like I'm up for some serious blog hopping tonight to catch up with all of the doings with the resin. I have just recieved a parcel myself and am looking forward to having a play!

I love your resin piece-- very creative. I once took a jewelry class-- on soldering and found it very hard so I now have a huge respect for jewelers

Gorgeous piece! That orange sari gives spark to the darkness. I took Susan's class ages ago, just enough to let me know that I am not a metal person. But I adore her work and bet you will love it.

A most unusual piece! At first I thought it was a tiny oil lamp glowing from within. Lovely work Ro. I had to go back and look at your felt piece again too.

This is so clever, using a spoon!
You color accents are really pretty too. Is that a light bulb in the center of the bezel?

Such light and delicacy -- wonderful work! To use the sari silk with metal -- such a contrast of textures and purpose!

I just love that sari silk...the colour that emanates through the ice resin is beautiful. Fabric and ice resin, looks like a wonderful combo and not one I've seen before.

Fantastic.
