Healing art

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words again regarding my dear mother, I'm sorry I haven't been able to get back to you all, your words are very much appreciated. My father's doing OK, his strength at the funeral amazed us all, so much so that my brother, sister and I were able to deliver the eulogy without totally falling apart.
A couple of days after the funeral I attended Creative Soul Retreat, not far from home and took four classes from the wonderfully talented Susan Lenart Kazmer, this certainly took my mind off things for awhile. I also taught at one of the night classes. All I can say is if you're interested in making jewellery and get a chance to take a class from SLK, it's more than worth it. She's a fabulous teacher and soooo generous with her techniques and ideas. Her lovely sister Cheri was her assistant so we all had a ball. I'm still working on my projects so will show them at a later date.

Our own Judy Wilkenfeld was teaching too.

Laurie Mika and Jan Harris also came out from the US to teach. They are both fabulous ladies, their students work was amazing. I didn't manage to get a photo with Jan but was lucky enough to sit next to her at lunch on one of the days. She makes beautiful silver jewellery and was very interesting, I really enjoyed our conversation.
It was great to catch up with some of the ladies I'd met at past retreats and also to meet new ones from all over the country. A big thanks to Bevlea Ross and her helpers Eva and Lucy for making it all possible.

I'll post some art soon.

Quite simply, art heals! Also, being among friends soothes a tired soul. So happy to hear that you're doing well and are moving forward. Hugs, Terri xoxo

Sounds like a lovely time Ro with some very special friends. You certainly deserve that! Nothing like creative stimulation with a bunch of like minded souls!

Great catching up with you again Ro ... though only in snippets throughout the Retreat.

Not only are you an inspiration with your artistic abilities but I'm in awe of your sharing and gentle nature. I feel fortunate to know you - and - thanks for being the person that you are.
