Full class

The fabric workshop filled up very fast which is great news. I'm going to hold another one early next year for those who missed out. The photo below is one of the things we will be doing in the workshop, it's paper made from fabric and paper serviettes. You can stencil over it with paint, add fabric scraps to it. Hand or machine stitch it and also add beads.

These are the papers after they have dried, they are not as shiny as they look in the photos.

This is a section of one of the sheets. I stitched over the butterfly and created flowers with organza, then cut away the remaining organza to show the paper.

This section has lots of machine stitching with metallic threads.

This has lots of seed beads added.

I also made another mixed media quilt inspired by Beryl Taylor, it's not finished yet, I think it might end up as a page in a journal I've been commissioned to make.

These pages are a true feast for the eyes. As I've said before, wish I could take your class. Distance prohibits.

The paper serviettes? I'm not sure exactly what those are. Are they a kind of paper towel?

Thanks for showing all these beauties.

I'm not surprised your workshop filled up so quickly. If I lived in the right hemisphere I'd sign up myself. Your papers are so rich and beautiful, and your Beryl Taylor quilt is stunning.

Yes and yes and yes and yes - words fail me, your fabric paper is so beautiful. I hoard paper napkins and use them in journaling and actually was about to use some motifs in some textile booklets. They will never look as good as yours. I just love all the pages.

P.S. seeing the last comment (from ordinarycourage), do you do online workshops? Ann from UK.

How exciting these pieces are! Lucky are those that got into your workshop. They make me want to play with color right now.

Well Ro, I am just overwhelmed with all of your work. It is so wonderful to see how you have evolved over the years.....yikes, years! The pages, the fabrics, the quilts, the journals...I am so thrilled to see everything you are working on and to see how everyone responds to your work.I can't imagine how you have been able to make your pieces even richer in color and texture.

I am trying very hard to balance my full time working and trying to get into my studio. It has not been easy. I have so much pent up creative energy just dying to release.

I LOVE your new quilted and felted pieces.

Hope you are enjoying every minute.

Love,
Karen
