Finished journal

I've completed my latest journal. This has been reserved by a lovely visitor to my blog. I've had a few people comment and also contact me saying that they don't get chance to purchase one of my journals because they sell fairly quickly. I'm amazed and also very humbled by the way they sell. I'm considering taking orders for them as the next two have also been reserved. If you would like one please email me and I'll add your name to the list. They take awhile to make, but I'm working on two at once to speed up the process. Thanks again for your lovely comments and support.

The side view

The cover is a piece of my hand made felt with lots of fabric elements and stitching added.

This is the spine

a pocket on the inside cover

a decorated envelope with a tag

all of the white pages have been stamped with my hand carved stamps

there are lots of my decorated paper pages

this fabric was dyed using my flour resist

some pages have my original graphics, drawn on the inside of envelopes (love the patterns),
then cut out and stuck down

Some of the many pages - there are over 150 including the fabric pages.

Whenever I look at your art I feel as though I have escaped from the real world and entered a place of colour, excitement and fun. What a lucky visitor she is!

While you are surprised, your loyal community is not... These journals are treasures! Gorgeous work as usual, Ro!

I love turning the pages, "feeling" the textures, wondering what I would write or draw on the papers.

Such rich, textured work Ro. As an art piece it makes me think of the complexities, layers and fragments that go to make up individual lives. Each of your journals is telling more of your own story. So exciting!

Love the new look here & just 'flicked' thru your journals slide show. This one is as lovely - you give so much of yourself in them, textures, shapes, colors, inspiration & dangly bits! Surely worth the careful time you take - people can get in line & may it be a long one ;)

This is beautiful Ro! I am teaching a book making class (mixed media fiber) and I also love to add paint/words/drawing to the inside pages.
They become like a secret world inside, don't they?
