Pisces

This is what my jewellery table top looks like most of the time. The jumble is a necklace in progress.

The usual chaos of my studio, so many projects all at different stages.

The finished product. Another necklace to go on my Etsy . The lovely pearl fish, hence the name Pisces, were given to me by Judy . I actually made the wire rings, soldered them, then flattened them, I really enjoyed making this piece.

This is the one that started it all, this is mine, it's made from lots of old beads I've collected over the years, my own hand made beads, found objects, old earrings, even a picture of my grandchildren. I think it's become my mascot, people regularly say, 'I don't remember your face, but I remember your necklace'. It's not the lightest piece I've made but I'm used to it.

These are some of my hand carved stamps and stencils, photographed on some of my papers that I've used them on. This is for Michelle Ward's Street team crusade No 18 . This time Michelle is asking people to show their hand made stamps and stencils, so here's mine. I still have quite a few more, probably on one of my table tops somewhere.

Thanks also to Marie and Penny for tagging me re seven more questions about myself, I'll really have to think over this one.

Lovely looking necklace Ro, I love the soldered rings. Your studio is amazing...but I have said that before, I love how it is a hub of activity. Your hand cut stamps are great and I know they come a treat in your artwork. Ux

Oh my, your studio is wonderful! So many treasures to look at.
Your latest necklace is striking, it's quite tribal looking. You must have spent ages making the wire rings, it was worth the effort though.

Ro - what a great visit with you today! So fun to see your glorious workspace - love the state of disarray - means you are hard at work! And those windows! We all covet those. Thanks for sharing your terrific stamps and stencils with the street team. (If it's your first visit to Ro, scroll down through the posts to see she uses them all the time!) Just fab - the jewelry too!!!

Oh I am so glad you posted your stamps! I save & print all of your pages showing the steps for decorated papers, journal pages, & altered books. They all share your wonderful stamps and it is delightful to see them dancing across a work space. Thank you so much for sharing studio pictures. I think studios are so much more vibrant seen in their working condition rather than in a"show" state. Your blog is one of my favorites. Thank you again!

Gorgeous necklace, gorgeous studio - glad to know I'm not the only one that has works in progress at all different stages. Thanks for your comment on my linocut faces - your stamps are lovely, classic. I recognised your name when I saw it in my comments list - I wonder from where.

I was about to comment when the photo of your studio sucked the air out of my lungs. Amazing!
Love the carved stamps, Ro... the layers of ink and paint make them little works of art before they've even touched the paper.

Warmest Regards..
Lisa H.

Your studio is just amazing Ro! How do you keep all those beads under control??! I never fail to tip mine all over the place! Love the Pisces piece, the soldered rings really make the piece.
Your handmade stamps are fantastic, it must be so much fun whittling away at the rubber and coming up with a design that can be used over and over!
Take care and see you in May.

I really need some help to lift myself out of the tonal colour zone I work in , and get more exciting with it all!!..

There is an industrious buzz about this post that is so inspiring, I'm having to hold myself back from rushing off to create some art. Pity I have to go and make lunch instead.
