Tiny books and figs

I created these miniature books after being inspired by the ones Jo and Janette had when they demonstrated at their exhibition.
They are tiny collages made from scraps of my decorated papers and fabrics. These were given to four lovely ladies I had lunch with on Sunday.

Last Sunday we had breakfast at a lovely local cafe. They had this great display of figs in a vase. I love the shape and colour of figs in all their various stages. I came home and carved a stamp from my photos. The last picture is a pastel painting I did some years ago of very ripe figs with all of their wonderful purple hues.

There's so much to love here. That stamp turned out really well. I love the shape and feel of figs. The pastel is enticing and your little books are awesome. The ribbons add so much.

All are so beautiful Ro: the tiny treasure books, the hand carved stamp and the rich painting. I’ve never seen a fig growing; only in the organic grocery store in a bin. Thanks for this.

I have never seen figs, other than the dried version you buy in the store. These are rather pretty, and your painting makes them appear simply lovely! Your stamp looks great. I don't know how you do it, but you keep coming up with new things. Your little books are adorable.

Gorgeous everything Ro...the figs and stamp are wonderful.
Certainly nothing "small" about minitures...these ones are such a joy. Love the "Ro" look they have about them.

I feel great that you did some tiny books.
I was given some figs like that last year and also used them unmercifully in my work, even a "morning" picture......but no stamps alas
