Giveaway

I decide that as I'm turning the big 60 one day this coming week, I should have a giveaway to celebrate. I'm not sure how I feel about turning sixty, it makes me realize there are so many things I still have to create, so I need to be around, functioning normally for at least another thirty years.

The giveaway consists of some of my decorated papers and laser prints of my work, a hand carved stamp, beads, fabric, ribbons, paper napkins, a collection of things that I use in my work.
If you want to be in the draw just leave a comment and I'll get my dear husband to select the winner on the 19th of April.

In the mean time here's some photos of what I've been up to this week, as well as working on some jewellery. This paper is a piece that I made after watching Anne Bagby's dvd. Anne's work is amazing. She also carves her own stamps and makes the most magnificent papers for her collages. I now have to work out a way that I can use her techniques without actually copying what she does.

These are more pages from my DJ journal. They rabbit in the 'blue' page was part of a postcard that DJ gave us in the class. The paper it's attached to is actually a tea bag that I stamped with the base of a biscuit container to give me the blue circles.
The last two photos are backgrounds waiting for attention.

I would love to be on your giveaway list, please. Happy Big Birthday when it gets here, and don't worry, being sixty isn't half as scary as being 70!! You still have plenty of time to get things done - my Mum was 101 this year, so plenty of fruit and veg., wholemeal bread and 8 glasses of water a day and you'll get there! I love your journal pages and wish I could make art like yours, but I just don't loosen up enough. Must try harder? or maybe not try so hard? Have a great Easter and a great birthday.

Happy Birthday! I would be overjoyed to be the lucky winner of this giveaway and start playing with it. I have wanted to take a class from you for a long time, but the US is so far from which to travel to do so, so this would be the next best thing. Thanks so much for the opportunity, and enjoy that day!

Congratulations on your birthday. I looked at your photo again, when I read you are to be 60. I just can't believe it. You look so much younger than that. So I believe you will have much more years ahead to be creative.
As I live in the Netherlands I do not need to be in your drawing, as it would cost a fortune to send it overseas.
I just wanted to congratulate you and let you know that the work you made is wonderful.

Ro, I share your trepidation about 'big' birthdays (or any birthdays come to that) but really, you are as young as you feel - it's all down to attitude. And if you have a passion for something, as many of us do for our art, then that definitely keeps you young too!
Have a very happy birthday!
