A bit of this and that

I seem to have been doing a bit of everything this week. I went and had a play day with Elizabeth last Friday, and that's always very inspiring. I've been embellishing and stitching felt, over dyeing and then decorating fabric, making the cover for my junk journal commission, working on jewellery for my etsy and getting fabrics and flyers ready for a 'Flour resist on fabric' workshop at home on the 15th of October.

This is the felt piece, I'm going to make it into a bag.

Close up detail.

This is the junk journal cover, I just have to stitch the signatures in now.

These were very plain fabric swatches, I dyed them and then added my own graphics with markers. I love doing this and was inspired by Alisa Burke.

This is a necklace I've just completed, it will be on my Etsy once I take some better photos.

This is another one that's not quite finished yet, it's very vintage for me.

These are photos of fabric samples I've made for my 'Flour Resist on Fabric' workshop I'll be running from home on Saturday October the 15th, if you would like to attend please email me for details.

Patsy and I will also be running a workshop this coming Saturday the 8th at the Beaumaris Art Group studios. It's painting in the round, where we all end up with a piece of canvas that we can frame, make into a bag or use to cover a chair, whatever your imagination aspires too.
There are still some vacancies so if you would like more information please contact Beaumaris Art Group via their web site link above.

Fabulous, gorgeous and every other superlative you can think of! I love it all. The bag will be fantastic and your journal cover is great. As for the hand decorated fabrics - they are amazing and so personal. Love the jewellery too. You've certainly been busy lately and the workshops will be such fun.

Wow! What fantastic makes!
The felted and more piece is very exciting but, my favourites are your dyed and own graphics fabrics...you should approach a firm to have them produced...so I can buy a few yards ! I particularly like the poppy seed heads one, well all of them!
Love the necklace too!
You have been very, beautifully creative!
Thank you for showing us your makes.
Now...what kind of flour am I going to need...?

you have inspired me - with this mountain of work you have done. I love playing with all sorts of different mediums and ideas. Don't you find that there is so much inside the head that ideas just tumble into each other - you will have to share with us how you sort it all out and decide which project to do first. I find with so many ideas its often hard to start but even harder to complete a project before the next one has to jump out. I love the jewelry - absolutely stunning.

These are all wonderful. As I'm a little far away & can't come to your class I'll have to look out some instructions I'm sure I have - I love the effect & maybe that's what I need to get me going! I have booked 2 seperate weeks already for next year, nothing like a bit of focus!
