Garden

We've been having some glorious autumn weather, the past couple of weeks, although it feels like winter today. I've been working in the vegie patch, reaping and sowing, something I wasn't able to do working full time. It's lovely to sit down to a meal of home grown food.

the lovely sweetly perfumed ginger lily

beautiful pansies

the fading roses

and dahlias

a gorgeous miniature zinnia

I'm also having a give-away to celebrate having 600 followers. Thanks so much to you all. If you would like to enter, just leave a comment and I will draw a winner on Monday the 1st of May.
The give-away consists of

some dyed fabrics

dyed laces

and decorated papers.

Thanks for all of your lovely comments in my previous post.
See you soon.

PS: If you want to see a fabulous journal, check out Sabine's blog, she made this after one of my classes, it's amazing.

Great minds think alike. I have been busy digging in the dirt too, until the heavens opened. Good for the garden, good for the blog. I uploaded the results from my altered card workshop, love what one can do with the learnt skills. Looking forward to Saturday's altered book workshop.

Your veggie garden looks lovely. I love growing things to eat but have to grow mine in containers owing to lack of space.
The ginger lily is beautiful - I don't think we can grow it here.
What gorgeous give-away goodies - I love the decorated papers in particular. Whoever is lucky enough to win that lot is half way to a gorgeous journal.

Hi Ro, it feels like it has been raining forever up here in Newcastle! For a second I thought you had photographed an old-fashioned columbine but, no, it is a ginger lily. Lovely garden! And the paper - love to get my hands on that; I love the way you use colour.

Love the colours of your flowers, reflected in your dyed fabrics, laces and papers.
Maybe a pack of your beautiful textiles and papers would give me the impetus to make my own journal?

Have a great week, whatever the weather.

If I'm not in then I can't win--so here goes.
Your garden looks great even though it is now Autumn--We haven't had a vege garden for years--to old to look after one-well that's my excuse anyway.

Great garden pics, and I love the laces and fabrics you show us.

Love the colours you get in your climate Ro. Here in Qld we don't get the autumn foliage and can't grow lots of things in summer when it is too hot. I'd probably kill to win this giveaway.. (I lean towards exaggeration) Great to see an Aussie in Seth's book.

Hello! Ro,

Love the pics of your garden, would love a vegie patch, but we get too many possums, they decimate our orchard. What a lovely give away your having, yum. I went and had a look at Sabine's journal it's really beautiful, Sabine obviously took a lot from your workshop.
