Collage, Patsy and Daffodils

This post is a bit of a mixed bag. I have added a couple more photos of my daily journal. Also my friend Patsy has a solo exhibition happening at the Beaumaris Art Group studios at present. I managed to get some photos before the opening. Patsy creates fabulous paintings, repurposed coats, bags, textile paintings, books and jewellery all with Patsy's style stamped all over them.

one of my collage and painted pages, I love working in layers

I started this and wasn't that happy with it so.......

I did this and was much happier, it may not be finished yet, who knows

Patsy infront of a couple of her paintings. The paintings are behind perspex so they don't show up as well as in real life.

This painting is gorgeous, it's all turquoise and green shades, again the photo doesn't do it justice.

textile pictures and painted tiles.

more coats and bags

Patsy's invitation

The house I grew up in, in England was surrounded by fields of daffodils, my favourite flower. The photo above is about ten minutes away from where I live, now in Australia, and it's a thrill every year to visit the site.

This is the view from part of the farm.

Thanks for taking the time to visit and for your much appreciated comments.
Catch up soon.

I love your layered pages. I must stop being such a wimp and try this technique myself.
Patsy's paintings are beautifully colourful, very unusual and great fun. I love her bags and jackets too.
Your daffodil photo looks almost English - they are such a welcome sight.

Beautiful work by your friend, especially the clothing. I like your journal pages too. Seeing your daffodils reminds me that while you are approaching the joys of Spring we will soon be slipping back into winter. I love the colours of Autumn so I can enjoy them while enjoying your Spring photos too :-)

It's strange, here in England, to think of you with daffodils right now...in August when here the garden is starting to bow down towards autumn. My friend works on the Isles of Scilly picking daffodils. Hard work in spring, but imagine the light in his eyes as he does it!

Hi.
Your friend makes beautiful art just like you do. Your journal pages are outstanding. The photo of where you live in Australia is gorgeous. I know nothing about Australia ~ I must do a little reading now that I have a friend living there. I'm quite sure there is a lot more to Australia than kangaroos. ♥

just stopping by to say that although I don't often leave a comment I do always enjoy reading your posts and feasting my eyes on the fabulously colourful photos of your creations. Your friend is very talented and I hope her exhibition is a huge success.
