Workshop

Last Saturday I had a lovely group of students attend my More Altered Books workshop. The idea was to create a book that could be used as a sketch book, journal, photo album or whatever your imagination desires. The course involves building up lots of layers with paints, papers, stamping, words etc. Here's the results.

Liz

Debra

Bevlea

Jacky

Tini

Marg

Lucy

Jan

As you can see they all created fabulous work and each one so different.

The group

I couldn't resist adding this photo. My husband got up to make a cup of tea Sunday morning and look who took over his side of the bed. He sleeps in the laundry at night, (Charlie, not my husband), so he thinks it's a treat to get on the bed, it's the first time he actually got in it.

A right little Charlie.

Thanks again for visiting and your lovely comments.

What a DARLING little Charlie Boy!!
We have a cat who loves to be covered over with her "blanky" when she sleeps on her chair in the lounge before going to bed in the laundry.
Looks like your students had a ball and produced so good albums!

Glad Charlie got in the group photo and the pic of him tucked up in bed is adorable. I bet he could get away with anything!
Great pages from your students. I am just starting a very special altered book for one of my daughter's - she'll be 50 in 2013 so I have plenty of time to learn some new skills and practise them!

Ro, your students did beautiful work on their altered book journals, and as you say each one quite different must have been great fun for you all. Charlie looks so beautiful, tucked in bed, he'll want to come in all the time if he gets half a chance, he's such a lovely puppy.

Those pages are all so beautiful! Charlie is very cute - we have a Boston Terrier who does sleep in our bed! Sometimes I find her with her head on the pillow.

Your books look wonderful, but the "baby" takes the show!

Charlie is a bit of a scene stealer but I must say the books look great. It is wonderful to see your influence as a teacher yet each one is unique to its maker - awesome!
