Buddha's smiling

Buddha's smilling, it rained yesterday, not for long but it was better than nothing. 6mm to be exact which is about a quarter of an inch. More was predicted for today but so far nothing's happened. The grey, threatening clouds arrive and we start to get hopeful, and next thing we know, the sun's smiling down on us. I love the sunshine, I hate the cold, but some rain occasionally would be nice. Things are getting desparate even our Prime Minister is telling us we have to pray for rain. I think the Governments, current and past, should have done something before it got this far, but that's another story.

I've just completed another necklace and more ear rings. I'm working on another way of providing the information about the necklace for the gallery. Usually I make a card with the relevant information as to the type of beads, etc. used in making the piece, but I'm now thinking of providing a card with photos as above, and writing the details that relate to each photo in the spaces down the sides. I'm still working on it.

Ro I just love the necklace and the card looks like a great idea (and a perfect keepsake for the new owner). As to the rain - we had Aprils rainfall in one day, it isn't as bad over here in the West (yet!) but we all need to rethink how we use this resource. We sunk a bore years ago - saves on scheme water which is such a waste to use on the garden, if the bore ran out I think we would be saying goodbye to our garden.

Ro,
Have you seen the movie An Inconvenient Truth yet? The climate is a mess. Sorry to hear you haven't had rain.

I have a budda right outside of my studio (and quite a few inside as well....something peaceful.

Is this photo with your beautiful jewelry and the pattern on the side, the type of card you are speaking of? If it is...I would go with it in a second! It a great way to highlight your work.

Since you are also into mosaics.....have you been to the website cyclopsmosaics.com? I just found it yesterday. Check out their gallery and the work of Barbara Helsing .

I always love seeing your jewellery Ro. And the card looks like a great idea.

I agree with you about the rain. The water shortage has gotten so bad here. When it rains it seems so foreign and such a surprise. I miss the smell of rain....
