It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We were very late decorating the tree and the house this year. No sooner was it the beginning of December then it was three days before the big day. We only bought the tree over the weekend. The lovely smell of the pine is wafting through the house. There is a Christmas tree farm just around the corner so it's very handy.
I spoke to my six year old grandson tonight, he's so excited it's only three sleeps til Santa comes.
I've been visiting some blogs recently with all lovely images of the snow, while we sit here sweltering. They do predict a pleasant 26degC for Christmas day though.
It's late in the evening as I write this, all the windows are open and a gentle breeze is drifting in through the house, ah summer's here at last.

I love the way children measure things in "sleeps" my kids did that too!
Have a lovely Christmas Ro.

This seems so weird, Christmas in summer. I think that would be rather nice, especially for the package deliverers! Love your pretty stars. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

late at night with your windows open and a gentle breeze - it sounds just fabulous! - here we play snow games - our car got stuck backing out of the drive this afternoon - our wonderful neighbor came to the rescue with his tractor! - picked up my mom to take her to the grocery store also and she had to walk in a foot of snow to the car because we didn't want to get stuck again - not good for an 82 year old woman with a cane - I love your grandson's - only three more sleeps - my grandsons use to say the same thing - time was measured by sleeps - I looked up plum pudding - that is quite a bit of work - enjoy

You can have my share of snow. My boots got a bit inside on the way to the mailbox in the dark. Ah! Windows open and a breeze - and no one shouting, "Where you born in a barn?" jeanne in Oregon in snow!

What a lovely image you've conjured up,Ro. We had a lovely sunny day here today, but it was really cold, what I'd give for some warmth.
