I've stayed indoors today while the mercury reached 38deg c, they predict 39-40 tomorrow. Unfortunately I have to go back to work tomorrow, so I've been making a bracelet to put on my Etsy site. I've also started another necklace but won't have that finished until the weekend.
Our weather in Victoria, as in other southern states, is amazing, it can be 40deg c at lunch time and 23c by the time we go home at 5.00pm. Which is what they forecast for tomorrow. The temperature goes up and down like a yo-yo. Variety is the spice of life as they say and Melbourne certainly has that when it comes to weather.
This bracelet is made using memory wire, which means it should fit any size. I've used carnelian and compressed coral beads for the colour and carved bone beads for the texture.
These are stamps I carved last week, they are also for sale on my etsy.

Oh my lord that weather must be hell...i'm in brisbane but maximums round 30 degrees...okay for this time of year...hope you have some aircon about! Latest jewels are very tactile with an ethnic edge...and that stamp is wonderful!
Beautiful stamps. I'm intrigued with the bracelet. What is the "h" shaped charm mean? It almost looks like a temple.
I wish you strength with those temperatures
Ro - I love the colors of this bracelet - very harmonious - Don't you just love carving stamps? - I haven't done it in awhile, but I use the ones I've made alot!

I had to go look on my outside thermometer to see what your temperatures are. We use Fahrenheit here in the US. Wow, you're hot!! Right now we are at -5c, or 25f with a wind chill on top of that!

I hope you weren't complaining about that nice warm weather. I am sitting here in my studio in a down jacket unable to warm up.
I love your work Ro. I think it's great how your stamps sort of mimic the shapes on the bracelet and the beads. Did you notice?

Your weather is similar to ours at the moment and it can go on for days without let up.
I love the bracelet Ro. Such gorgeous bone beads!
It sounds like home, I guess I will have to pack all the ususal removable layers for the retreat.
Love Jacky's necklace and your stmps are fantastic - great to see they sold so quickly too.
Hi Ro! Had a great time in Melbourne ... know what you mean about the weather changing ... it was hot that morning but by the time we came out of the Ian Potter Art Gallery the wind had changed direction & dropped to 23 deg! We changed into our jeans & enjoyed the cooler weather much better! I love Melbourne, especially impressed with all the public art around the city :) Thank you for all your great tips too!
cheers
Maria
