Photoshop filters

This is the scanned image.

I applied the watercolour paper filter and ended up with this.

This uses the note pad filter.

And this one's the photocopy filter

I've been playing around with some photo shop filters on a scanned image of some of my decorated papers. The papers are typical of the ones I sell on my etsy store. I scanned them into Photoshop and created a patchwork, then added filters to create these images. It's amazing what an individual filter can do. I use Photoshop everyday in my work, but very rarely get time to just play.

Fun stuff! Your original scanned papers just pop right off the page. They really woke me up this morning!

hee hee. I'm always playing with my filters too. BTW, I used some of your beautiful paper in the mixed media book I made over the weekend and thought of you. So pretty and so unlike what I do. I love it that we are all different, even when we do the 'same' things. xo

It's good to play...and when you get this sort of great stuff happening, it's even better...

Your papers are wonderful, in each example, and all so different! What paper do you print your images on? As usual, your colors are brilliant but your black and whites are lovely too. Roxanne

They look great, Ro! What a great tool to 'spark' ideas for paintings (I'll have to get photoshop!)

You have been a busy girl, indeed!!

Wish I knew how to better use photoshop. One of these days....or weeks, since it takes me forever to learn anything on the computer, I'll dedicate some time......or take a class. I feel ridiculously stupid that at this point I still am pretty clueless.

It's terrific what you did and how you have presented it here.

Congrats on the show BTW....the two of you will really compliment each other in a gallery together. V

I am seriously impressed Ro - these are wonderful. Even with the time I am way too scared to play with photoshop!
