My studio is in it's usual state of chaos. I have an altered book workshop coming up this Sunday. I'm also working like crazy on my preparations for my up coming exhibition here. I usually have at least half a dozen projects on the go at once, that way I don't get bored.
I love the feeling of stepping into my studio after a day at work and just being able to let go. It's winter here and the last two days have been very cold, for us anyway. It's lovely and cosy in my studio at night, the curtains are closed, the heaters going and the lights are glowing, pure bliss.
This is the background to a collage I'm making. It will have my lollipop trees and crazy sheep added.
This is the first layer of some background paper that will be cut up to make a journal.
My decorated papers waiting to be turned into more collages.
My kits ready for assembling for my Sunday workshop. Each one of these has one of my carved stamps added to it.
Finally this is a collection of necklaces lined up waiting to have hand wired hooks and rings added to them.
Now back to the paint pots.

Good luck with the workshop.
I adore the top photo - just as it is!!
I agree with Anna, the top photo is a great collage. I love the colors! It is so odd to think of you with your heaters on and here we are in the height of summer with expected triple digits by the end of the week.
Your studio sounds completely wonderful. I know the feeling, my mind seems to hum when I go into my studio/sun room area, ready to make some art. Your papers are beautiful, and I love the photo of the necklaces. Roxanne
Hi Ro: lovely, lovely photos of all your art work in progress : ) love your workshop kit with one of your stamps included - if you have any left, will you put it/them on your etsy for sale ?? sure hope soooo !! I've gotten hoooked on carving my own stamps on foam, ohhhhhh what fun that is : ) but to see/own one of yours, would be delightful : ) amazing how you are in the part of the world that is having winter and we are in summer - 100 ++ degrees in the valley, we are in the mountains so it's ONLY 98-100 : )
Love & Blessings, Sandra in AZ
It's all so nicely organized though. Have a great time with your workshop; the photos are dreamy.
Ro, I really wish I could spend some time in your studio. I think your 'stuff' is amazing and I know I would be inspired.
Ah well, at least I can look at your super pictures.Annette

I cant wait to get my studio in the new house and have that same "home" feeling!!!!! Just to have your own little place is great.
It's all good, Ro. That top photo is lovely. You are such an inspiration with the "letting go". You stay warm and I'll stay cool, how's that for a trade?

There's always such a buzz here. Love all this creativity! The top photo is gorgeous!
Just one question. How do you do all of this? Have you discovered an extra 8 hours to every day?
I love the look of your kits, so exciting, your students will have a ball.
Good luck with the exhibition, you won't need it :-)
I always enjoy the richness of your colour palette - like some exotic Eastern market place. I think it's good to have several things on the go - it avoids that blank page inertia/ what do I do next thing that often strikes. x
Ro I love the little horse charm on one of your necklaces!
Beautiful collage papers, jewellery, gorgeous colours and designs and I know for a fact those kits of your are amazing...I love using the bits and pieces from my kit bought at the recent Art Retreat.
*gulp*
I'm TRYING to figure out how to JUMP right through this screen and right into these pages!
xo, Monica :)
wow, what a visual treat...winter sounds good right now; here in New Mexico it is muggy, threatening to rain (but its just a threat) and sticky, blech.
I love all of your background/collage papers. I was going to say that one was my favorite and then realized I love them all!
Being surrounded by all of those gorgeous colours must really brighten up your dull winter days. I know that seeing your beautiful papers brightened mine.
All the best for Sunday and for your exhibition.
Keep warm,
hugs
There is really nothing like stuff! Such inviting piles of colorful pages and cool bits and pieces. I just want to dive in!
As always, I'm drawn to your stuff colors. I love to just stare at them. Thanks

It all sounds like bliss to me!
You are incredible Ro!! Love that first colourful image - it is just gorgeous!
YUMMY papers!
OMG... Of course I love your papers... you are such a talent indeed... and I know your upcoming show will be fantastic. I am drooling over that wonderful assortment of necklaces. They are beautiful. I am just in amazement as to how opposite our temps are now. I'm begging for a cool breeze... but I must admit... your studio sounds so cozy.
Bliss RO and the pic of your necklaces is divine.
