Journal for Sale

The journal in the previous post is now for sale in my Etsy shop. The person who commissioned it is unable to purchase it at this time. It's slightly smaller, dimension wise, than some of my other journals but still has the same number of pages. Following are more photos of the inside

June already

Where does the time go? I can't believe it's June already. I'm busy working on journal commissions right now, as well as trying to set up my own on-line workshop that I hope to have ready in July. The workshop will be about making a Junk Journal, I hope some of you will be able to join me. I'll have details soon. 

Meanwhile here are photos of my latest completed journal, this one's smaller in size than the previous two that I've made.

Another completed journal

I've been so busy that I've only just managed to complete a commissioned journal. Now the exhibition panic is over I hope to be able to get back to my orders. Here's a peak at some of the pages.

What a week

These past eight days have been a whirlwind. Judy Wise came to town and boy did we celebrate. I've been blogging with Judy for over six years and it was so good to meet her at last. Along with Jacky we took her to see as many things as time allowed, as well as having art play days. Judy also taught a two day Cold Wax workshop at my place, that was fantastic. I've always wanted to give encaustics a go but now I've discovered the ease of cold wax, encaustics is on the back burner.

Judy arrived on the Wednesday then joined us for sketching in the afternoon.

the next day I met Jacky and Judy for lunch then we went to Lillico gallery to see our exhibition.

Saturday and Sunday Judy held a cold wax workshop at my house.

we then had a day painting in the round, including my 3 year old grandson.

The rest of the time Jacky and I showed her as much as we could in the time we had, we'll miss her terribly, she's one special lady.

Exhibition

I'm working like crazy on paintings and jewellery at the moment. Our exhibition opens on Saturday, May the 4th. I can't believe how quickly it's arrived. There will be some fabulous work on show. Patsy will have her beautiful repurposed clothing and bags, Elizabeth will have fabulous things made with felt, Jacky is busy creating her gorgeous still life paintings and lino printing, Coral has some fantastic watercolour portrait paintings and I will have my acrylic, mixed media farm and flower paintings as well as necklaces and earrings. Two weeks to go

Well 21 Secrets has been up and running, very successfully, for two weeks. I now have two weeks to go before the opening of our exhibition with Jacky, Patsy, Elizabeth and Coral at Lillico Gallery in Lillico, near Warragul. I've been painting up a storm and making jewellery as fast as I can go.

I'm also trying to get a commissioned journal completed, it's almost there.

I like to have a stitching project on the go for when we're out driving and I don't have to drive. This is using some of the momigami papers I made in Cas Holmes' workshop. The blue fabric was sun printed using one of my hand cut masks.
